My name is Annie Blomfeld (artist-name and pseudonym), I live in Malmö, Sweden, and belong to a privileged group "For ever young". 1985 was the year when I discovered my painting skills. I celebrated the discovery by joining art-classes, which only flamed up the spark.

The following years I shared my time between bringing up my sons and developing my painting. After a while and a lot of work, it finally felt right to start exposing my work to the world. I was pleasantly surprised how well-received my first works were. This encouraged me to go on polishing my art-skills, by taking up higher studies. But I could'nt have managed any of those without the constant support and help of my dear husband.

But later on I somehow sensed, that painting was not enough. I obeyed my inner voice urging me to experiment illustration. I also followed my heart and returned to an old love of mine, writing. Finding my unique style - illustrating to a script, preferably my own - was wonderful. I kept to my writing and at the same time studied my favourite read- and write language, English, at the university. This came very handy in my translations.
